Jazbaa is a remake of South Korean film Seven Days

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan all set to make a comeback with the film Jazbaa, the stakes here are high considering the massive fan following the former beauty queen has. Sanjay Gupta, who is directing the film, wanted a unique role for the actress' comeback, filled with stunts and action and Aishwarya will be seen doing the same in this film.

However, now we hear that Jazbaa is the Bollywood remake of the South Korean film Seven Days which was released in 2007. The film will see Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the role of a lawyer, while Irrfan Khan plays the role of a suspended cop. It is being said that the story of Seven Days too had a lawyer as the protagonist, who is on a mission to save her kidnapped daughter, by fighting a case for an alleged criminal who is on a death row for committing heinous crimes like rape and murder and she has only seven days for the trial. Jazbaa will also have Shabana Azmi and Anupam Kher in prominent roles along with John Abraham who will be seen in an extended cameo as a gangster.

Produced by White Feather Films in association with Essel Vision, Jazbaa is slated to go on floors on January 10, 2015 and it is said to premiere at Cannes in May 2015.
